On this evening, the Mike Stern Band featuring Dennis Chambers, Leni Stern, Chris Minh Doky and Bob Franceschini is coming to the Atlantis. Over the course of four decades, Stern has established himself as one of the central figures of jazz fusion. His career spans more than a dozen solo albums, numerous international tours, and several Grammy nominations. Early on, he became part of the musical movement that opened jazz up to new influences without compromising its depth. Collaborations with figures such as Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius, and Billy Cobham were formative—experiences that had a lasting impact on his musical approach. Stern’s playing is unmistakable: powerful and direct, yet harmonically complex and deeply rooted in the blues. Rock energy, jazz harmonies, soulful feeling, and improvisational freedom merge into a musical language that is instantly recognizable.
