Shalom! This Hebrew word of greeting is contained in the name of the city around which everything at this year's Mizmorim Chamber Music Festival revolves—Jerusalem. Another Arabic word, Salam, shares the same root. It also serves as a greeting and means peace or health, much like the Hebrew Shalom. These days, Jerusalem is a symbol of hope for an entire region—the hope that, despite all cultural and religious differences, living together in peace is possible. The Mizmorim Chamber Music Festival 2026, dedicated to this hope, will be presenting lectures, guided tours, pre-concerts, concerts, as well as a children’s puppet theater; visit the website for a complete list of events.
