Monsters don't exist. They don't hide in cupboards and certainly not under beds. And yet they lurk everywhere. They populate books, films, myths, and legends. The "Monsters" exhibition at the MUKS takes you through a staged basement landscape. There you can find out how you can fight your fears—or even make friends with them. There is a lot to discover in a cellar—supplies, winter clothes, and junk. Perhaps there is a monster hiding among the old stuff? In this exhibition you will really come across spooky creatures. You will find them not only in stories, but also in shadows and jars. At interactive stations you can test your courage, feel hidden things, and hear mysterious noises. This new exhibit in Riehen’s toy museum will present an atmospheric journey through the bizarre and enchanted for children ages 5 and over, together with their adult companions.
