On this day, sports enthusiasts will travel from all over Switzerland to Davos to join prominent hiking guides on a hike or on an e-bike tour. With its 700-kilometer-long network of hiking trails, Davos–Klosters offers stunning routes through forests, sunny side valleys, and up to spectacular peaks. Choose one of three guided hikes or the relaxing e-bike tour—all accompanied by well-known personalities. In addition to the tours, an entertaining supporting program awaits you in the Alpine town, with a marquee, music, and other attractions.
There will be three levels of hikes—a 5-km easy hike for families (even with strollers) with a walking time of about 1 hour 30 minutes; a 10-km intermediate hike to the Ischalp with a walking time of about 3 hours; and a difficult hike that is a 14-km tour with some steep climbs that will take 4 hours and will lead you into the Flüela valley.
For the second time, they are also offering an e-bike tour that will lead deep into the Dischma Valley to the Dürrboden Alp. This 26-km route will be on well-maintained paths with a steady incline that should take approximately 2.5 hours, without rest time. If you don't have your own e-bike, you can easily rent one on-site at one of the specialized mountain bike shops.
The festival grounds in Davos will open at 8:00, with plenty of food, activities, and entertainment for all ages throughout the day, including many attractive stalls, children’s activities and entertainment, and musical entertainment into the evening to complete the day.
The hiking day is a free event without registration, so anyone can join the hiking day spontaneously.
