Each year, the magazine “Schweizer Familie” organizes a Nationaler Wandertag, which on this 18th year, will take place in Gstaad, canton Bern. On this day, sports enthusiasts will travel from all over Switzerland to Gstaad to join prominent hiking guides on one of three different hikes or on an e-bike tour. The meeting point for all hikes is at the festival grounds, and they will be led by celebrities Pepe Lienhard, Nik Hartmann, and Mira Weingart. A highlight is the bike/e-bike tour, which will be led by Mike von Grünigen and Joana Hählen. All three hikes and the bike/e-bike route start and end at the festival grounds on the ice rink area.
The festival grounds at the ice rink in Gstaad will open at 8:00, with plenty of food, activities, and entertainment for all ages throughout the day, including many attractive stalls, children’s activities and entertainment, and musical entertainment into the evening to complete the day.
Good footwear and appropriate clothing are recommended. E-bikes can be rented locally at one of the specialized mountain bike shops; for a combined trip using public transport and cycling, there are solutions for all needs! https://www.gstaad.ch
Anyone can join the hiking day spontaneously; no registration is required and participation is free of charge. Participants can arrive by public transport or by car; however, the number of parking spaces is limited and subject to a fee.
