The Naturbad Riehen—the innovative natural swimming pool in which the water is treated through biological-mechanical and thus ecological processes rather than through conventional chemical means—is now turning 10 years old! The beautiful park has a pool that resembles a natural lake or river, with a high water quality offering a visual depth of at last 2 m. In addition to a 25-meter 4-lane swimming pool, it also has a non-swimmer’s pool with beach area and slide, a toddler paddling pool with water games, a diving pool with a 1- and 3-meter board, as well as a sauna area and a cosy café.
On this weekend, all are invited to celerbrate the 10-year anniversary with plenty of activities and fun. There will be a varried program that includes water sports and fun, pirate adventures for the little ones, games that require skill and luck, workshops and competitions, nature and educational programs, relaxation, enjoyment, and plenty of culinary delights. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with DJ music in the early evening until 23:00 on Saturday, while you enjoy a drink at the bar. There will be a special anniversary brunch on Sunday from 10:00-13:00; spaces for the brunch are limited but you can make a reservation by email at 4125@pierbasel.ch.
