Argentina in the sound garb of fugal passages, expressively angular melodies and harmonic turns that only the master of tango could perfect—Piazzolla as an evocation of life around Buenos Aires with collaged style transitions to the radiant Bach of Baroque music. On this late afternoon, the Gabetta Consort Orchestra, with violinist and conductor Andrés Gabetta, mezzo-soprano Veronica Cangemi, and Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi on Bandoneon will perform works from J.S. Bach to Piazzolla (arr. Roberto Molinelli).
