Night at the Haut Koenigsbourg Castle

Saturday, 18 May
19:00-23:00

Once a year, the Château Haut Koenigsbourg opens its doors at night. Starting at dusk, the plains of the Alsace, the Vosges mountains, and the Black Forest disappear into darkness. The castle is also engulfed by the shadows, with strategically placed lighting carefully illuminating its stone walls, sculptures, and iron details. From 19:00-23:00 (last entrance at 22:00), you can enjoy a self-guided tour or free visit to the castle with tremendous views of the starry night and the Alsatian valley. This event will be hosted by the Alsatiae Protectores company and its costumed members. Bring warm clothes and a small flashlight.
This event will be crowded and parking is limited. The Bas-Rhin County Council is providing a free shuttle all evening long between the castle and the train station (SNCF) in Sélestat.
Entrance is free of charge; get your free ticket online.
