©Kulturprojekte Kitty Schaertlin is organizing a large celebratory concert in the center of Sissach with the Neues Orchester Basel. The concert is part of the celebrations of the 800th anniversary of the municipality of Sissach and the 500th anniversary of the Reformed Church of Sissach. On this evening, they will be playing Alfred Newman’s “20th Century Fox Fanfare,” Antonín Dvořák’s “Slawischer Tanz, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Capriccio Espagnol,” Friedrich Gulda’s “Concerto for Myself,” Ennio Morricone’s “The Mission,” Ira May’s “Fear & Delight” and “Bigger Plan,” and Klaus Badelt’s “Pirates of the Caribbean.” The Neues Orchester Basel under the direction of Christian Knüsel will be joined by pianist Mischa Cheung, oboist Julia Rechsteiner, and singer Ira May.
