Openair St. Gallen

St. Gallen (SG)

This 4-day festival, which takes place in St. Gallen on the river Sitter, offers a party atmosphere that will cater to the young and the young at heart. The Sitterbühne is the main stage that hosts the top acts who will play in front of up to 25,000 spectators. The Sternenbühne, which is designed as a tent and has space for around 5,000 spectators, hosts mainly hip young band—a few years ago, Ed Sheeran played on this stage before he became really big. The Intro tent stage, located directly on the Sitter, offers space for exciting and demanding Swiss artists or European young talents in current trends and progressive sounds from the fields of indie/rock/pop/urban/electronica. In addition to the main music stages, festival goers can enjoy Day Dance, where you can dance and cool off directly in the refreshing waters of the Sitter river; the Plaza, a kind of creative street-food festival and bar, with street musicians, street artists, and slam poetry; a Campfire Village, where you can experience concerts in the intimate setting of a campfire; as well as The Village, where you can party all night in a club-like atmosphere with super sounds provided by known DJs.
The atmosphere in the Sittertobel is legendary—camp with your friends and let Woodstock feelings take over. This year’s line-up includes Macklemore, Louis Capaldi, the Lumineers, Tash Sultana, Sam Fender, Marcus Mumford, and many more.
The venue can be reached by car or by train in about 2 hours 15 minutes. Purchase your ticket through the SBB and get 50% off travel to and from St. Gallen.
One-day passes are CHF 105, 3-day passes are CHF 235, and 4-day passes are CHF 274; VIP passes are also available.
