Plakatszene Luzern (Lucerne Poster Scene)

The exhibition “Plakatszene Luzern” shows how Lucerne has made a name for itself beyond Switzerland's borders as a city of posters over the past 20 years. At festivals and in competitions, the quality, diversity, and freshness of the posters have been recognized many times over. Thanks in no small part to graphic designer Erich Brechbühl, a culture of creative exchange and cooperation has developed that is characteristic of the Lucerne poster scene. Accordingly, the exhibition focuses on works by graphic designers associated with the Treibhaus, Südpol, and Neubad venues, as well as the Weltformat Festival. All of these are platforms that facilitate exchange, networking, and collaborative design.
There will be a free public opening of the exhibition on Thursday, October 16, from 18:15.
On Thursday, October 23, at 18:15, you can also immerse yourself in the hypnotic world AORRTA, the electronic solo project of Basel musician Renato Matteucci. Since 2021, he has been using modular synthesizers to create dense soundscapes between ambient and techno—live, raw, and atmospheric. AORRTA are experimental sound worlds in time and space, a juxtaposition of posters and pulsating rhythms, flowing structures, and electronic depth.
Entrance to the exhibition is free.
