In the "Poschner Probiert “ (Poschner Tries Out) format, the Sinfonieorchester Basel opens the music hall at the Stadtcasino and invites the audience to experience what can be seen and heard during an orchestra rehearsal. Anyone who wants to treat themselves to a lunchtime break will gain a vivid insight into the path from score to sound: into the process, the search, the small decisions, and the mechanisms of conducting an orchestra. In doing so, they can discover details that make listening to the final concert even more insightful. “Poschner Probiert” takes place at lunchtime on the Tuesdays before the subscription concerts that Poschner performs with the orchestra.
During this lunchtime rehearsal, the Poschner and the Sinfonieorchester Basel will be rehearsing Richard Strauss' "Also sprach Zarathustra," op. 30, TrV 176.
Tickets are available with (CHF 25) or without (CHF 10) a packed lunch (regular or vegetarian). You can take your packed lunch with you after the rehearsal—ideal for the office, the park, or on the go!
