Rhubarb / Spring Market

Matthäus Market
Saturday, 27 April

In front of the Matthäuskirche in Kleinbasel, you will find the Matthäusmarkt every Saturday from 8:00-13:00. Eighty percent of the produce and goods are locally grown or produced, making it an ideal place to shop and to meet the farmers as well as your neighbors.
Four times a year, they have a seasonal market that highlights some of the season’s bounty. This year's spring market will focus on a spring favorite—rhubarb. The rhubarb market brings a colorful spring atmosphere and fresh delicacies. You can already feel the anticipation of the asparagus season and the sweet strawberries. Nurseries offer seeds and seedlings of flowers, herbs, and many other plants. This makes the thumbs of even the most reluctant gardeners green.
This outdoor market is open and free to the public.
