The Riverside Aarburg music festival is a 3-day open-air festival featuring a great lineup of bands, including Megadeth, Krokus, Dropkick Murphys, Limp Bizkit, Royal Republic, Manowar, and Hammerfall. The festival will take place on Friday evening (16:00-02:00), as well as on Saturday (10:00-02:00) and Sunday (09:00-22:00).
You can purchase 1-day passes that are valid for all concerts on that day (starting at CHF 95), 2-day passes (starting at CHF 145), or 3-day passes (starting at CHF 180). Onsite camping is also available for CHF 20 per person for the duration of the festival. Children under the age of 12 have free entry (ID required) in the standing area when accompanied by their legal guardian.
The Riverside Aarburg concert tickets also include free entrance to the nearby Route 66 festival—the biggest vintage car and rock’n’roll festival in Switzerland (https://www.route66aarburg.com/).
The festival grounds are 40 minutes from Basel by car; simply follow the signs “Festival Besucher” (festival visitors) shortly after you exit the motorway; parking cost is an extra CHF 10.
