Rose Tattoo, along with AC/DC, have shaped the international rock scene like few other Australian bands. With their "Rock 'n' Roll Outlaws—One Last Ride" tour, the band, fronted by legendary singer Angry Anderson, celebrates its 50th anniversary. Their performance at the Z7 Summer Nights Open Air festival likely is the last chance for Swiss fans to experience the band live. Supporting acts on this night will include Victory and Velvet Rush.
With their uncompromising blend of blues, hard rock, and pub rock, Rose Tattoo have created a distinctive sound that has influenced generations of musicians and fans. Hits like "Rock 'n' Roll Outlaw," "Bad Boy for Love," and "Nice Boys" are now classics of the genre. Even after half a century, Anderson, the charismatic and indomitable voice who celebrates his 79th (!) birthday the day before the concert in Pratteln, still leads the band with the same energy and passion that made Rose Tattoo one of the most respected live acts in rock history. The farewell tour promises an emotional journey through five decades of rock history, from the early pub rock anthems to the later classics. With his tight-knit band, Anderson will deliver once more what Rose Tattoo became famous for: explosive live energy, authentic rock 'n' roll attitude, and the certainty that true rebellion never dies. The "Rock 'n' Roll Outlaws—One Last Ride" shows are more than just concerts; they are a farewell to an important piece of music history and a tribute to the timeless spirit of rock 'n' roll.
Founded in 1984, the band Victory remains one of the most influential acts in the German-heavy rock scene. They have played countless arena and festival shows worldwide and, in addition to live albums and compilations, have released 10 studio albums, achieving international chart success. Despite various lineup changes and years-long hiatuses, guitarist Herman Frank never gave up on the idea of continuing Victory. In 2021, after 10 years, Victory released their long-awaited 10th album, "Gods of Tomorrow."
Velvet Rush stand for high-energy, blues-infused modern rock with soul, a vintage vibe, and an irresistible groove. Led by the powerful vocalist Sandra Lian, the Hamburg-based quartet ignites an intense live firework from the very first minute. Her powerful, smoky rock voice and strong stage presence captivate audiences and critics alike. Musically, Velvet Rush combine classic 70s hard rock, blues, and psychedelic rock with a contemporary sound. Guitarist Dennis Henning, bassist Tim Black, and drummer Tom Zeschke provide the driving foundation for rousing songs full of hooks, dynamism, and sheer joy of playing.
Tickets are CHF 60.
