For the 24th year, a group of about 50 Santa Clauses will gather at the Messeplatz at 16:00, where spectators can admire their festively decorated Harley-Davidson motorbikes. Shortly before 17:00, the Santas will depart from Messeplatz and ride their Harleys through the city, ending at Marktplatz, where they will distribute little goodie bags to children in exchange for a verse. Parents can purchase mulled wine and Grättimänner (sweet dough pastry shaped like a little person); all proceeds go to Theodora, an organization of clowns that bring laughter to children at the Kinderspital (children’s hospital).
