Schweizer Jugend-Sinfonie-Orchester

The Schweizer Jugend-Sinfonie-Orchester is a Swiss symphony orchestra of young people, founded in 1969. The orchestra members, around 100 young musicians between ages 15 and 25 from all regions of Switzerland, meet twice a year for a session of several days of rehearsals for a tour, once in spring and once in the fall.
Alongside award-winning young Russian pianist Vsevolod Zavidov, they will be playing under the baton of conductor Johannes Schlaefli. On this evening, the program will include Gioachino Rossini’s Overture to “William Tell;” Sergei Rachmaninoff’s "Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini," op. 43; and Richard Strauss’ “Don Juan,” op. 20, and “Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks,” op. 28.
Tickets are CHF 29-78.
