The Seaside Festival is nestled between vineyards on the beautiful bay of Lake Thun, with a fantastic view of Spiez castle and the Alps. It takes place on the same weekend as the SummerDays Festival in Arbon, and a closer look will reveal that the musical line-up is very similar—many of the musicians who play at one festival on Friday play at the other on Saturday and vice versa. On Friday, the musical line-up in Spiez is geared towards younger audiences, while Saturday’s programming tends to favor bands with a longer history. This year’s line-up includes James Blunt, The Kooks, Rag’N’Bone Man, Scooter, Tokio Hotel, 77 Bombay Street, Veronica Fusaro, and many more.
The festival grounds are located about 2 hours from Basel by car or 3 hours by train and can be reached in 10 minutes from the festival parking lot and a 5-minute walk from the main train station. Combination train–concert tickets travel discounts of 20% can be purchased through the SBB.
One-day passes are CHF 119 and 2-day passes are CHF 208. Children born 2010-2013 pay 50% less, and children born in 2014 and younger do not need a ticket or wristband for the Seaside Festival 2024 when accompanied by an adult.
