Singalong-Mobil

The Sinfonieorchester Basel is on the road again with their “Singalong-Mobil,” because singing together makes people happy! With nine musicians, they will be visiting various institutions in Basel to give free sing-along concerts, this time with popular folk songs from the people of Basel. The wanted to know what Basel sounds like so they conducted a survey to find out which folk songs from all over the world are Basel’s favorites. They will be bringing a selection of these songs to life in all their polyphony so that you can discover what Basel sounds like, learn from each other, and sing together in different languages.
On this evening, , members of the Sinfonieorchester Basel and singers of the Mädchenkantorei Basel will be performing “Wie klingt Basel?” on the beautiful banks of the Rhein, at the corner of Oberer Rheinweg and Reverenzgässlein. The program includes folk songs for choir and large orchestra, commissioned by the Sinfonieorchester Basel.
The concert is open to the public. Admission is free.
