Sound Garden — Fatima Dunn

During the warm summer months, the rhythms and sounds of the Sound Garden can once again be heard around the pavilion in the park of the Fondation Beyeler. On Wednesday evenings, the music of regional and national artists can be enjoyed over cool cocktails. From jazz to samba and hip-hop to neo-soul and Afrobeat—the Sound Garden's multifaceted music program invites you to let the midweek summer evenings come to a relaxed close in the Museum Park and to discover new favorite music. Enjoy the evening breeze as you lay back in the beautiful setting of the serene park and enjoy great music for free.
On this summer evening, Fatima Dunn will transform the Fondation Beyeler's Sound Garden into a sound world full of fine tones, rhythmic surprises, and narrative depth. With cello, vocals, and a loop player, the Swiss singer-songwriter weaves complex soundscapes that blend folk, pop, and experimental music. Her instrument becomes a playground, and is brushed, plucked, and tapped—everything serves the song. The dialect lyrics of her current music strike a chord with authenticity and poetic lightness.
This event is free and no advanced booking is required. Meeting point is the pavilion in the park.
