Semi-Circle Basel will be presenting “Steel Magnolias,” Robert Harling’s beloved play set in a small-town Louisiana beauty salon in the 1980s. Six women gather there, funny and fierce and utterly real, navigating the joys and heartbreaks of ordinary life with a warmth that never lets go. Part comedy, part tearjerker, it is a portrait of female friendship and the quiet strength that holds a community together through the best and worst of times. Adapted into the celebrated 1989 film starring Sally Field, Julia Roberts, and Dolly Parton, it remains one of the most cherished stories on the stage. Come to the Häbse Theater when the cast brings these unforgettable characters to life.
