Stimmen Festival — Dobet Gnahoré

The Stimmen (Voices) music festival has become the largest music event on the Upper Rhine, attracting an impressive array of international stars, soloists, and choirs, providing magical moments and musical experiences for young and old. From June 18 to July 11 this year, the festival will play a homage to the power and beauty of the human voice at various special venues in neighboring Germany.
The music of Ivorian singer Dobet Gnahoré is full of rhythm, direction, and attitude. With her seventh studio album, "Zouzou" (Angel), she channels all her energy into a work that is both personal and political. "Zouzou" is dedicated to the children of Africa, the generation that will shape the continent's future. The album also marks the beginning of an orphanage project she initiated in Côte d'Ivoire. Musically, "Zouzou" blends vibrant West African rhythms with contemporary Afro-pop and urban sounds. Gnahoré sings with a deeply moving intensity, dances with an electrifying ease, and unites vocals, percussion, and choreography into a captivating whole. She received a Grammy Award for her collaboration with India.Arie. Gnahoré represents an African present that sounds confident, creative, and forward-looking. She captivates audiences from the very first note.
Tickets are € 46.
