For the very first time, an international PDC darts tournament is taking place in Switzerland. For three days, all the big darts stars will meet at the Swiss Darts Trophy in Basel and transform the St. Jakobshalle into the largest pub and festival hut in Switzerland. “We are delighted to finally be able to offer darts fans in Switzerland their own event—darts is experiencing an absolute hype there!” said Werner von Moltke, President of PDC Europe.
The tournament takes place over three days with six sessions each. A total of 47 matches will be played. The absolute top stars will also be present in Basel: World Champions Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith, Peter Wright, and Gerwyn Price are among the regulars on the European Tour. Shooting stars such as “Cool Hand” Luke Humphries and Nathan Aspinall are also always present on the European Tour. In addition, Swiss players will be taking part; up to four starting places will be decided in a Host Nation Qualifier, provided there are no two players with Swiss nationality in the Order of Merit.
Tickets are CHF 17-117, depending on day and category; half-price for kids up to age 16.
