Fill your weekend with laughter at The Beast Comedy Club’s Saturday talent showcase. A line up of the best rising talent and a top headliner will make you laugh all night (or at least until 22:30). The Beast, Basel’s first ever dedicated comedy club, is proud to showcase how much fantastic comedy talent there is in Switzerland. Bring a friend, a date, family, even an enemy you want to reconnect with—and you will surely leave smiling.
This evening’s headline act is Teddy Hall, who has been performing all over Europe since 2017. Presenting a uniquely introspective and self-reflective brand of comedy, Hall’s raw and authentic style has lead to him headlining shows across Europe, featuring on television in several countries; selling out shows of over 100 seats in over 10 different countries, and winning "Best Stand Up Comedy" at RVK Fringe 2025. Hall’s comedy veers from the profound to the inane with a fundamentally empathetic and optimistic view on life.
Also on the program is Toto Nguyen. Born and raised in Hungary with Vietnamese parents, he is a true combination of the Eastern European melancholy and Asian parents’ expectations. While he might be small, he’s a real ball of energy on stage!
Brian Mohally Willig left school at age 15, and 40 years later his teachers were right—he’s still trying to be the funniest guy in the room. Sandwiched between the Boomers and Millennials, Mohally is cursed with seeing both sides of an argument and with only his sense of humour to deal with it. His comedy is an honest and raw retelling from his family life; now that the children have grown and flown, he exposes their dirty laundry to get cheap laughs.
