The Best of the Beast Comedy Club

Fill your weekend with laughter at The Beast Comedy Club’s Saturday talent showcase. A line up of the best rising talent and a top headliner will make you laugh all night (or at least until 22:30). The Beast, Basel’s first ever dedicated comedy club, is proud to showcase how much fantastic comedy talent there is in Switzerland. Bring a friend, a date, family, even an enemy you want to reconnect with—and you will surely leave smiling.
This evening’s headline act, Pouya lives in his cartoon world, purposefully misunderstanding things for laughs. Originally from Iran, he moved to Switzerland at age 15. Not speaking the language, he entertained himself with quirky observations, giving him a unique perspective on both cultures and their stereotypes.
Also on the program is Pavel Zborik, who grew up in Russia and Germany and moved to Switzerland to work in the laundry business (mostly wealth management). Between three managers, two cats and a wife, he’s only left with the stage to get a word in. Zborik’s stand-up is a tapestry of anecdotes and contemplations on culture, marriage, and raising cats in his Jewish faith.
Pau Pathare is a mixed bag of nationalities and humor. They joke about their Indian-Polish family life, being queer, mental health, and world history. One day, they will become pope. From silly to interesting to darker themes, Pathare will take you by the hand and make sure you enjoy the wild ride through their thoughts.
Fairis Osman is a Malaysian who has been living in Switzerland since 2005. A shy kid who was often laughed at, he eventually decided to lean into it and started performing stand-up in Basel in 2019. Blending cultural observations with self-deprecating humor, Osman is on a mission to change the world—one joke at a time.
The show will be entirely in English and hosted by club comedian Alber Louw. Entry to the Beast Comedy Club is by Swiss law exclusively granted to members. Signing up is free and takes just seconds on the Beast Comedy Club website at https://thebeastcomedyclubbasel.clubdesk.com/.
Tickets are CHF 25 for adults (CHF 30 at the door), CHF 18 for students, or CHF 16 (early bird).
