Fill your weekend with laughter at The Beast Comedy Club’s Saturday talent showcase. A line up of the best rising talent and a top headliner will make you laugh all night (or at least until 22:30). The Beast, Basel’s first ever dedicated comedy club, is proud to showcase how much fantastic comedy talent there is in Switzerland. Bring a friend, a date, family, even an enemy you want to reconnect with—and you will surely leave smiling.
On this evening, the headline act will be Tom Devenport, an American writer, voice actor, and comedian working out of Basel. He has developed animation, provided voice for commercials and award winning films, and performed in venues ranging from bars with chicken wire around the stage to clubs, theaters, and festivals around the United States as well as in England and mainland Europe.
The feature acts are Aaron Gehring and Martina Hulme. With his signature dry wit and dynamic physical comedy, exciting new German up-and-comer Gehring takes seemingly unspectacular everyday situations—like his recent eye surgery and hospital stay, or a simple trip to the grocery store—and transforms them into highly engaging and hilarious routines. Whatever crime she must have committed in her past life to be reincarnated as a comedian, Hulme would do it again. Now ready to kill on stage, her sarcasm, wit, and charm will have you in stitches.
