To say that Thee Sinseers play oldies would be a misnomer. Led by bandleader and East Los Angeles native Joey Quiniones, the group has been quietly honing the sounds of R&B and soul since its formation in 2019. Quiniones and his crew have consistently crafted a distinctive atmosphere that explores all facets of a timeless genre, uniting their interpretation of the music through an unmistakably modern lens. Speaking with Thee Sinseers ahead of their new release on Colemine Records, "Love Stories" (out September 18), one thing becomes abundantly clear: this is not an album that tells a slick and straightforward love story. The vision of love conveyed on this record is multifaceted. The band will be supported by local legend Sonoflono.
