Since 2005, VOLTA Basel has been a powerhouse, supporting new, ambitious galleries to enter one of the international art market capitals. Entering its third decade of fostering cutting-edge creativity, the fair has long been a springboard for emerging talent and an incubator for ideas that shape the future of contemporary art. Located just a two-minute walk from Art Basel and the central Messeplatz at Halle 4.U, VOLTA 2026 is set to showcase 69 galleries from 26 countries. The fair will showcase a dynamic mix of established and emerging talent, highlighting experimental curatorial practices from emerging galleries in the new section “FRISCHE!;” encourage cross-cultural dialogue through a dedicated “Pavilion Everywhen: Contemporary Aboriginal Art;” and celebrate the vibrant presence of 18 Swiss galleries.
A meeting point for art collectors seeking fresh and captivating narratives in the emerging contemporary market, VOLTA invites visitors to discover artistic talent and build meaningful connections with gallerists and artists alike. The fair presents the “Art of Now” and offers art enthusiasts and collectors an opportunity to discover and connect with international artists and their stories.
The fair is open to the public from Thursday to Sunday; the VIP Preview will take place on Wednesday from 10:00-18:00.
Tickets can be purchased on site or online. Early bird day-tickets are CHF 18.50, fair passes are CHF 35, and VIP fair passes including the Wednesday preview are CHF 85. Basel residents will be granted free access from 14:00-16:00 on Friday to Sunday upon presentation of proof of address.
