Wake Up and Run

Here is a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Basel at dawn during an early-morning run with like-minded people. This 5.7 km run, which follows a course mainly along the Rhein, is not timed and takes place on a weekday to promote a healthy lifestyle of starting your workday with sports, a healthy breakfast, and a convivial atmosphere. You can enjoy this experience with friends, colleagues, your family, or alone (spaces are limited to 700 participants).
The run starts at 5:30 in the morning at Theodorsgraben, but you are welcome to arrive as early as 05:00. As there is very little or no traffic at this hour, participants can really enjoy the city in a new atmosphere. A cyclist will open the running route, which will be marked with ribbons and luminous arrows; guides wearing yellow safety vests will also show you the way.
You can register online until midnight on August 28; the event is limited to 700 participants. The registration fee covers the “Wake Up and Run” sports t-shirt; a wake-up pass (bracelet); a healthy, balanced take-away breakfast including regional products; a reusable cup; and gifts from the sponsors. The participants’ material can only be picked up at the customer service of the Manor store in Basel between August 20 and 29 (for organizational reasons, no materials will be distributed on the day of the event). There will be a warm-up and animation on site on Friday morning starting at 05:10. Changing rooms and showers will not be available this year.
Registration fee for singles is CHF 38 for adults and CHF 15 for kids up to age 16.
