On stage, Walter Trout—who celebrated his 75th birthday in March—is truly at home. Every show by this passionate musician is a feast for the senses for blues and rock enthusiasts. Very few artists perform with as much fire, soul and honesty as Trout. For over five decades, this blues rock titan has poured his heart into every note, channeling life’s highs and lows through his unmistakable guitar sound and his experience-soaked voice. In 2026, Trout returns to European stages to captivate audiences once again with his extraordinary abilities. Each show is a celebration of survival, a defiant outcry and a deep soul connection, united by the unbreakable spirit of the blues. From heartfelt ballads to rousing rock anthems, Trout’s live performances are raw, emotional journeys that leave audiences overwhelmed. He is joined by a world-class band, which for several years now has included his son Jon, delivering virtuosic guitar work. The father-son guitar duels have become one of the standout highlights of every Trout show.
In 2025, the tireless artist released his latest album, “Sign of the Times.” Great artists have their finger on the pulse of the times. Over half a century as a social observer and relentlessly honest songwriter, Trout has never told his fans what to think, feel, believe politically, or scrawl on protest signs. But at a time when the world feels like it’s bursting at the seams along the front lines of modern life, this new album is a cry of rage and a pressure valve we all desperately need. “I wanted to express the anger and fear in the world,” says the musician. “For me, writing these songs was therapy. They’re not just about what’s happening out there, but also about how it affects us mentally. “Sign of the Times” was simply the obvious title.” With these new songs, Trout returns to Pratteln once again. Whether you’ve known him since his Bluesbreakers days or are discovering him for the first time, this is your chance to experience a true icon in his element. Raw and unfiltered. Real music, real stories and pure energy.
Tickets are CHF 49.50.
