Basel’s fabulous wine festival is back! The Weinfestival Basel, formerly called the Basler Weinmesse, is one of the most important wine fairs in Switzerland. It traditionally starts on the first day of the Basler Herbstmesse. At this festival, visitors have the opportunity to get to know numerous exhibitors and taste around 3,000 wines from all over the world. Whether you prefer white, red, rosé, orange, or sparkling wine; whether you would like to try Swiss products or those from the major wine-growing nations such as France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, Eastern Europe, and the "new" world—there will definitely be something for everyone’s taste! Expert winegrowers and wine merchants are at your side to exchange ideas and advise you on your personal wine selection.
Opening hours are 15:00-21:00 Monday to Saturday and 13:00-19:00 on Sunday. Entrance to persons under age 18 is permitted only when accompanied by an adult!
Day tickets are CHF 20 at the door (CHF 15 online); tickets for the duration of the festival are CHF 35 (CHF 27 online). Note that day tickets on November 2-5 are also valid for the Feinfestival Basel (Gourmet Festival) on the same day, which like the wine festival takes place in exhibition hall 2.1.
