Station Circus once again invites you to discover the world of contemporary circus arts in Basel through a program called Zirka Zirkus. The programs present experiments that blur the lines between circus, performance, theater, dance, music, and visual arts as well as light and media design in the circus tent at Dreispitz (Station Circus).
On the stage are a trapeze, a drum kit, electric guitar, and electric bass. “Dark Glowing,” with Laurence Felber, Silvan Strübel, and Caroline Schenk, is a concert and a trapeze piece in one, with sequin-embroidered costumes glittering in the stage lights. With sweat versus glamorous costumes, melodious choruses versus breathless voices, a feeling of apprehension versus euphoria, this is an acoustic feast, a dark undertow, a powerful and profound piece.
Tickets are CHF 28 for adults, CHF 18 for students, and CHF 12 for youths up to age 16.
