Exploring the legacies of socialist modernism through a melding of meticulous handcraft and a sci-fi aesthetic, Klára Hosnedlová (*1990) presents an entirely new body of cast glass sculptures and sewn works in her first solo show in Switzerland and most extensive exhibition to date. The Czech artist develops her imagery through private stagings of performances that are photographed and then rendered as intricate embroideries, which form the core of the surreal sculptural installations that enframe them.
