The Bambusnest at Messe Basel — A New Summer Oasis!

The feeling of fine sand between your toes is not just for your beach vacation. From July to September this year, you can enjoy an urban oasis reminiscent of a tropical beach in the Rundhof (round courtyard) of Messe Basel—the building with the large clock over the entrance. The creators of the Sandoase have transformed the otherwise unused, gray courtyard of Messe Basel into a pure summer paradise, with white sand, palm trees, starry skies, and exotic drinks. At the “Bambusnest,” you can enjoy a beach vacation feeling every day starting at 11:30 and until midnight  (Sunday through Thursday) or 02:00 (Friday and Saturday). Lie down in the sand with a book or headphones in your ears, soak up some sun, and enjoy a wide variety of foods and exotic drinks. Bao buns, poke bowls, pinsas—the Streetfood Market offers you a tempting variety of dishes and delicacies all day long, taking you on a culinary trip around the world. At the Bambus Bar, the bartenders will fulfill all your mixable, liquid wishes; try one of the exotic in-house signature drinks like Bambus Spritz or Déjà-vu Oriental Aperitif.

Entrance to the Bambusnest is free.
