Since 2011, Lilit Hakobyan has been making a name for herself as an interdisciplinary artist: her work in film influences her choreography, and in photography, she explores the dynamic element of dance. The internationally acclaimed Anne Jung also creates captivating images through her energetic dance vocabulary. She comes from the renowned Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company and, while still a dancer, created her first choreography in 2016 at Nederlands Dans Theater in The Hague. In her world premiere for Basel, Hakobyan engages with the raw and ritualized aspects of dance, while Jung draws attention to the fleeting nature of the moment. Her work playfully moves through artfully staged blurs between reality and illusion. Both pieces are accompanied by musical premieres. This double bill is complemented by educational dance programs and is especially aimed at young audiences.
Tickets are CHF 30-90 for adults and CHF 10 for youths and students.
