Music Theater — Don Quijote

Don Quijote travels through the plains of La Mancha on a rickety horse and dreams up his reality. Windmills become giants, taverns become castles, and an unknown woman becomes his immortal lover. The novel about Cervantes' famous anti-hero goes beyond all bounds—over a thousand adaptations have already failed brilliantly to tell his story. Theater artist Thom Luz follows in the footsteps of the crazy knight through the history of music and brings together compositions from Telemann to Massenet and de Falla at his deathbed. So who was right, the fantasist or reality? This musical castle in the air for the master of imagination will be performed in many languages and will have surtitles in German and English.
Tickets are CHF 30-130 for adults and CHF 20 for youths and students.
