Souad Massi — Zagate Tour 2026

Freedom and justice, songs full of love, humanism, and defiance against intolerance: Souad Massi embodies music with conviction like few other artists. In her over 20-year career, she has not only brought a new sound to Algerian music but also a clear message. Often described as the "Tracy Chapman of the Maghreb," she combines delicate guitar playing with lyrics about emancipation, justice, and compassion.
Born in Algiers in 1972, Massi grew up with Chaabi and Kabyle songs, studied classical and Arab-Andalusian music, and found her style somewhere between folk, rock, and chanson. She sings in Arabic, French, and Kabyle, in exquisite miniatures where gentleness and gravity intertwine. With her new album "Zagate," she returns more intensely and directly than ever before. Massi transforms poetry into an act of resistance, creating a dialogue between intimacy and politics—as a free and authentic voice of the Maghreb.
Tickets are € 32-52; student discounts apply.
