Blues Festival Basel — Vanesa Harbek & Friends / Cosimo Lampis

The Blues Festival Basel, which takes place annually in the spring, will this year take place in March in the unique setting of the Atlantis in Basel. On this last night of the festival, Vanesa Harbek & Friends and Cosimo Lampis will grace the stage. In addition to playing their individual sets, the musicians from both bands will come together to conclude the concert with a spirited jam session full of joie de vivre.
Argentinian singer and guitarist Vanesa Harbek—known as the “Queen of Latin Blues”—gets audiences dancing with her explosive mix of blues, Latin, and tango. Her virtuosity, warm voice, and stage energy inspire audiences worldwide. She tours tirelessly through clubs and open-air venues. Her album “Visiones” was released in 2022, followed by the single “Toda la noche” in 2025.
Sardinian-born drum and percussion legend Cosimo Lampis, who has lived in Basel for decades, is being celebrated on his 80th birthday! His connection to Basel began in the 1960s at an audition at the legendary Atlantis, and that is exactly where he is now returning. Lampis has been on stages and in studios around the world since childhood and has worked with many international greats. His interest in world music led him on numerous trips to Africa and especially to Cuba. For years, he and his salsa band shaped the Klosterbergfest in Basel, among other events, and made this sound famous in Switzerland. He combines all these influences, styles, and experiences in his powerful, versatile, and deeply musical playing. He is an artist, a citizen of the world, and a Baseler at heart.
Tickets for both bands on this night are CHF 42.60 for standing room.
