The Blues Festival Basel, which takes place annually in the spring, will this year take place in March in the unique setting of the Atlantis in Basel. On this second night of the festival, two previous winning bands of the Swiss Blues Challenge—Eve Gallagher & Band and Mark Slate & Rotosphere—grace the stage.
The charismatic British singer Eve Gallagher, winner of the Swiss Blues Challenge 2025, captivates audiences with her soulful, energetic, world-class voice. With her magnificent 2023 album “Roots,” she combines blues and soul in a thrilling way and brings international stage presence to Basel. Her song “Freedom,” released in October 2025, is already on playlists across Europe and South America. The accompanying album is also on its way. Expect a powerful experience with an artist who is one of the best live performers of her generation.
Mark Slate & Rotosphere, winners of the Swiss Blues Challenge 2024, stand for energetic, authentic blues. Frontman Mark Slate impresses with his distinctive soul voice, while Rotosphere has been a fixture on the Swiss blues scene for years. Together they deliver pure stage power, emotion, and musical passion for a second highlight of the evening that is every bit as intense as Eve Gallagher. This band also released their first album in 2025, with the launch taking place in Baden as part of a live performance.
