Three years ago, Czar Fest already presented the headliner Zatokrev at Kaserne to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary. At a time when the term post-metal didn’t even exist, Zatokrev were already described as avant-garde by Metal Hammer. With their distinctive creations, the band continues to live up to their unwavering reputation as an intense live act. Their latest album, “Bring Mirrors to the Surface,” brings plenty of exciting new material.
Joining them are two support acts, Inezona and Abraham, who will kick off the evening with a variety of musical styles and set the mood. Ines Brodbeck, aka Inezona, is a fascinating musical personality whose influences range from artists like PJ Harvey and Sophie Hunger to films by Tarantino and Lynch. Abraham’s new album “idsungwüssä” is a remarkable work that blends heavy riffs, ambient soundscapes, and noise.
