With "Bonnie Sings Amy," Bonnie and her band celebrate Amy Winehouse's personality and music. The focus is on the songs that, with their often-autobiographical lyrics, portray a vulnerable young woman and, with their musical style reminiscent of the ‘60s and ‘80s, exude energy and joie de vivre. An extraordinary voice, fantastic songs, a stylish stage presence, a blend of 60s soul and 80s London swing, and a conflicted personality combined to create the magnificent artist Amy Winehouse, who left this world far too soon in 2011. The well-known sad aspects of Winehouse's tragically short life are set aside, and the music, the woman, and the spirit of life will be celebrated. Alongside the charismatic Bonnie, a rhythm section with drums, bass, and guitar, a keyboardist, and a top-notch horn section take to the stage, bringing Winehouse’s songs to life with groove and vibrancy.
