Family Concert — The Day the Music Was Banned

"The Day Music Was Banned" is a musical stage production for children and families that combines storytelling and live jazz. Inspired by the picture book "Major Dux or the Day Music Was Banned" by Martin Baltscheit, the piece tells the story of a country where music is suddenly banned by the strict Major Dux. In this silenced world, Bartolomäus Bob finds refuge in secret jazz clubs, where a musical rebellion begins. With sounds, noises, improvisations, and songs, the story comes alive on stage, taking the audience on a playful and captivating journey that sparks the imagination and invites reflection on the meaning of music and artistic freedom.
Tickets are CHF 25.90 for adults, CHF 15.70 for students, and CHF 10.60 for kids up to age 10.
