Concert & Dancing — Bostich

Atlantis Basel
Saturday, 25 October
21:00

Bostich began as a school band in 1989. With a focus on live performances and 20 to 30 shows a year, the band became a popular act throughout Switzerland in the 1990s. Notable performances included the Openair Nunningen, the Steinenfest Basel, the Thun City Festival, the Atlantis Basel (three sold-out shows), and two appearances on SRF television. The band has released three recordings (“Bostich” in 1992, “Fertilized Rock'n'Roll” in 1993, and “World Far Yonder” in 1996).
Inspired by greats like Mellencamp, Quireboys, Aerosmith, Black Crows, and Cinderella, the guys from Bostich developed their own style with rocking riffs, lush beats, and catchy choruses. Combined with an entertaining stage show, the term "fun'n'roll" emerged. The mix of original songs and a few covers guarantees top-notch entertainment. Even today, the band continues to impress with its tremendous enthusiasm, power, precision, musical craftsmanship, and fun on stage.
Lifelong friendships have been formed, still as strong as they were back then—music connects people over time. And so, even today, Bostich continues to play their songs and some well-known covers according to their tried-and-tested formula, simply because they can, because it's fun and enjoyable, and it feels great to make music with good friends and delight the audience. Fun'n'roll lives on!
