Whether by chance, "by chance," or simply "byjence"—in any case, musical sparks flew between Jenny and Martin quite by chance at the end of 2022. Since then, the name "Byjence" has been firmly established as their band concept. They perform as an acoustic folk duo in a wide variety of venues throughout the region. The authenticity and interpersonal harmony of the two are reflected on stage and in their music. Thanks to years of vocal training with blues singer Manu Hartmann, the lead singer has incredible control over her voice, delivering lyrics with a soulful, raw touch; sweet melancholy; and astonishing power. With his passionate, down-to-earth country voice, he captivates the audience with pleasantly gentle backing vocals and a raw, consistent lead. Skillful, effortless stompbox work gets the audience clapping along.
Camelin is an artist whose music blends the raw edge of punk with the fragility of a singer-songwriter. With just a few powerful words and melodies, he penetrates deep into the hearts of his listeners, creating an atmosphere that is both melancholic and hopeful. His songs, sung in both German and English, are about more than just personal experiences—they are stories of social observation, of longing and resistance, shared honestly and authentically. With his acoustic guitar and raw, soulful delivery, Camelin conveys an energy that nonetheless retains the intimacy and intensity of a singer-songwriter. Together with Sandro Furter (lead guitar, pedal steel), he has amassed remarkable concert experience and continues to tour, touching his audiences with his powerful yet reflective sounds.
