Steinwasen Park is a combination of amusement park and nature reserve located about one hour from Basel in Oberried, in the beautiful Black Forest region of Germany. It hosts a number of rides, including an outdoor coaster and a summer toboggan run down the mountain and through the trees to the valley below, an indoor bobsled run, a smaller indoor roller coaster through a Glacier World, an Interactive XD Motion Ride Theater, a river-splash white-water ride, a mini-raft ride, and so much more. Constructed in the early 1970s with the help of wildlife biologists, the park also serves as a wildlife reserve with a variety of animals, including deer, ibex, chamois, lynx, mouflon, blacknose sheep, wild boar, raccoons, and groundhogs. You can admire the beautiful mountain and its inhabitants from a 218-meter-long suspended bridge that offers magnificent views of the surrounding Black Forest region. There are indoor play areas and an outdoor playground for the children, a fairytale cinema, snack bars, and a family restaurant where you can enjoy some local specialties. This park makes for a great day outing, particularly for young families, and it is not as crowded as other amusement parks, so the wait times at the attractions are negligible to reasonable.

Steinwasen Park is located about one hour from Basel in 79254 Oberried, Germany. The park is open from April until November from 10:00–17:00 in low season and 10:00–18:00 in high season (July & August).

Entrance costs € 28 for adults, € 24 for kids ages 4–11 and seniors, and free for kids under age 4. Free parking spaces are available directly at the park.
