Children’s Theater in Lange Erlen — Puss in Boots

PARK Lange Erlen
14:00 & 16:00

For the six weeks of school holidays, the children’s theater, Theater Arlecchino, will be performing the play entitled “Dr Gstieflet Katter” (Puss in Boots) at Lange Erlen in the pavilion in front of the PARK restaurant.
A miller had three sons. After his death, the youngest son was left with only a tomcat. He thought sadly, "What would I do with a tomcat?" But the tomcat said, "Let me make some boots—I'll show you what I can do!" With the boots and his cunning, he introduced the boy to the king and the princess, outwitted a magician, and obtained a castle for the boy. The king allowed the boy to marry the princess, and soon the miller's son became king, while the tomcat became his cunning minister.
This production will be performed twice daily from Mondays to Saturdays, except on the Swiss National Day on August 1. The play will be performed in dialect and will last 55 minutes, without intermission, and you are free to come and go as you please. The spectator area is covered and therefore not weather-dependent. Lange Erlen can be reached by bus 36 (stop called “Lange Erlen,” but note that only every second bus goes in that direction). There is limited parking at Lange Erlen that can fill up quickly.
Admission is free and no reservation is required/possible. There will be a collection after the show to benefit the actors.
