Is therapy a scam? Žana Fejzić’s Balkan parents would say "of course! Just clean your room and you'll feel better," but many (non-Balkans) would disagree. Come watch her work out what it means to have good mental health in a time 1900s babies & folks from ex-Yugoslavia are calling "been there, lived through that." This new hour questions what it means to be mentally sane as a millennial forever-foreigner juggling Balkan roots with a Western upbringing all while feeling as Becky G once best described as "ni de aquí, ni de allá" (translated to "neither from here, nor there" in case you failed high school Spanish).
Born in Bosnia, raised in Florida, and living in Berlin, Fejzić’s comedy mirrors her eclectic cultural background and is best described as Balkan pessimism battling delusional American positivity with sprinkled in reggaeton flair. Within 5 months of starting comedy, she became a finalist in the 2022 Berlin New Stand Up Awards and is now hosting and producing shows in Berlin and across Europe. She was nominated for Manchester’s Women in Comedy Festival Awards as Best Newcomer in 2024 and has opened in English and Spanish for a variety of comedians across Europe. She has performed in 40 cities across 18 countries and all of her shows are 100% self-produced. Now she is back in Basel for 1 night only!
