If you're looking for an open-air cinema right on the Rhein, far from blockbusters and mainstream films, then the ExSilo on the roof of the restaurant Rostiger Anker at Ostquai in the Basel harbor is perfect for you. They will be showing film gems from the archive. You can enjoy a hearty dinner at the restaurant, then head up to the roof for a film guaranteed to be shown at no other open-air cinema. Six films from different decades and genres will be shown here, transforming warm summer evenings into cultural highlights.
Seat reservations can be made between 17:00 and 18:30 on the day of the screening at 0049-78-679-2097. You can reserve two tickets per call. The box office and bar are open from 20:30; unpaid and uncollected reservations will be allocated from 21:00. The films begin after dark (around 21:30). Warm clothing is recommended, even on the hottest summer days. In case of inclement weather, the films will be shown at 21:30 at the Neues Kino at Klybeckstrasse 247.
