Poschner’s Passion

Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois
Saturday, 06 June
18:00-19:00

Nothing in art is possible without passion. Empathy, enthusiasm, and perhaps a touch of madness are all part of it. But what is the reward? Perhaps the fame that successful artists reap for their work. Sinfonieorchester Basel’s musical director and conductor Markus Poschner and the audience discuss fame and its downsides, as well as celebrities like Gustav Mahler, Pablo Picasso, and Thomas Mann. Because all of them once stayed at the elegant Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois during their visits to Basel. “Poschner's Passion” will explore fame in music, but also through and thanks to music. In that very place where celebrities were—and still are—frequent guests.
Tickets are CHF 20 for adults and CHF 10 for youths and students.
