Habsburg and Roman Festival

On this special day, the whole family can experience the world of the Romans and Habsburgs at the Vindonissapark Festival 2026. This year’s special theme is “Harvesting, Giving Thanks, Celebrating!" and invites you to participate and discover. You can weave flower crowns or bake Roman flatbread, and children can train to become brave legionaries. Medieval music provides entertainment—and anyone who wants to can dance along! The Habsburg and Roman Festival is also a culinary journey through time: the kitchens are filled with the aroma of delicacies from Roman and medieval times. Adults sample Roman wine, while children crush grapes. At all festival locations, special guided tours will also be offered on topics such as culinary delights, harvest festivals, and everyday life in antiquity and the Middle Ages.
Four historical sites offer attractions for the whole family: the Vindonissa Legionary Trail and Königsfelden Monastery in Windisch, as well as the Vindonissa Museum, and the Brugg City Museum.
There will be a variety of workshops and activities; check the website for the full program at each of the five locations. A free shuttle bus connects the four venues.
Tickets can be booked online and are CHF 18 for adults, CHF 15 for students, CHF 10 for children ages 6-16, and free for kids up to age 5. Family tickets (two adults with up to five kids) are CHF 39, or one adult with up to five kids for CHF 27. Ticket price includes museum admission to all festival locations, including the shuttle bus. It is best to come by public transport, but there is available parking at three of the locations.
