Groove Now! — Sugaray Rayford Sings Otis Redding

Otis Redding (1941-1967) was an American singer and songwriter who is considered one of the greatest singer-songwriters and a pioneering artist of soul music and rhythm and blues. Among his many hits, "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" was arguably the anthem that made him immortal. Redding, also known as the "King of Soul," drew inspiration for his vocal style from the gospel music that preceded the genre. His style influenced many other soul artists of the 1960s. Redding died young in a tragic plane crash. At the same time, he left behind a legacy that has lost none of its significance and quality.
