The Stimmen (Voices) music festival has become the largest music event on the Upper Rhine, attracting an impressive array of international stars, soloists, and choirs, providing magical moments and musical experiences for young and old. From June 18 to July 11 this year, the festival will play a homage to the power and beauty of the human voice at various special venues in neighboring Germany.
Musically rooted in Irish and Scottish traditions, the Celtic folk fusion collective Luas also enjoys venturing into pop, world music, rock, and jazz. No wonder—the five musicians bring a diverse range of musical backgrounds to the table. The band is led by Irish singer and multi-instrumentalist Brian Haitz, who inherited Irish trad music from his father. Luas's varied repertoire ranges from wistful slow airs and ballads to rousing, energetic reels with pipes and drums. Look forward to catchy melodies and danceable grooves, where traditional songs are skillfully revived with multi-part harmonies and innovative sounds.
Admission is free but donations are appreciated.
